At JAXLEGAL, we are excited to have sponsored the 34th Annual Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament this year.
The annual tournament spans six days in July at Jim King Park & Boat Ramp on the ICW. It is the largest kingfish tournament in the Southeast and draws professional and amateur anglers alike for a fun, family week.
The tournament draws nearly 300 boats and 10,000 spectators each year. Along with the main event, the week also includes a warm up tournament, a Junior Angler Tournament, live entertainment and a food festival for all to enjoy.
Jacksonville Marine Charities (JMC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, organizes and runs the tournament and distributes proceeds to support marine science research, preservation and education. JMC proudly supports marine-focused charitable programs in the community, including:
- preservation of fishing habitats
- promotion of marine conservation
- donations totaling more than $308,000 to the Sisters Creek Park Maintenance & Improvement Fund
JAXLEGAL’s own Marc Hardesty placed fifth in the warm up tournament this year.
We are already looking forward to next year!
