Boating and Jet Ski Accidents Now that the Weather is Good

What a winter we have had. Seems like every weekend the temperatures were frigid and the wind would blow whitecaps. In the last couple of days it seems like spring has arrived. With milder temperatures and weather many people will be taking their boats and jet skis out to have a great time. Unfortunately, the increase of boat and watercraft traffic can lead to accidents due to inexperience, carelessness or operation while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Water accidents are often deadly due to the lack of restraints, and the ejection factor into the water which can lead to drowning. Make sure you have the proper safety equipment on board and that the captain of the vessel has the adequate training and experience to handle the watercraft. We have experience handling these type of accidents and are equipped to help you and your family immediately. Please contact if we can help.

Landmark Case Changes Theories of Arson Investigation

The attached newspaper article is the story of how HTG&A partner, and former homicide prosecutor, Frank Ashton, handled a suspected arson case several years ago. In that case, prosecutors conducted test burnings on a house identical to the one that burned down to evaluate whether the fire which killed 6 people was an arson or an accidental fire. Analysis of data from the test fires has caused textbooks relating to arson investigation to be complelely rewritten.
