The Depuy Orthopedics division of Johnson & Johnson has just announced that it is recalling components used in some of its hip implants because of a high rate of failure and need for repeat surgery.
Many people receiving these implants have reported pain, swelling or problems walking. It is estimated that over 93,000 patients will be affected by this recall. The recall includes the DePuy ASR Acetabular System and the DePuy ASR Hip Resurfacing System.
If you have had one of these systems implanted or if you are unsure of the type of device implanted but are experiencing hip pain, swelling, difficulty walking or have had to undergo revision surgery, please give us a call for a free consultation. You may have certain legal rights which include a claim for damages against the manufacturer.
