The Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Recently, the United States Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment right of individuals to keep and bear arms is fully applicable to the States. The Court found a Chicago law that made it unlawful to possess handguns unconstitutional.

Often, a citizen’s right to gun possession can be affected by arrest and prosecution for a variety of crimes to include domestic issues and felonies – even if not convicted of the offense.
