St Johns Riverkeeper Oyster Roast

The 7th annual St Johns Riverkeeper Oyster Roast will be held Friday November 21 starting at 7pm at the Garden Club of Jacksonville. The event includes a wonderful evening of live music, food and drinks right on the St Johns River. The cost is $125 per person with the proceeds supporting the protection and community awareness of Jacksonville's greatest resource, the St Johns River. There will be a silent auction containing many wonderful items and trips to include: Handcrafted cypress wooden strip, kayak Dinner for 8 at your home prepared by Matthew Medure, Artwork by famous Florida artists Jim Draper, Peter Pettegrew and Henry Von Genk, Entry for the 2009 Kingfish Tournament, One-night stay for 2 at Greyfield Inn on Cumberland Island, A wildlife conservation center tour for 6 at White Oak Plantation, A one-of-a-kind rain barrel painted by local painter Ann Arthur, A unique and beautiful gourd sculpture by local artist Mindy Hawkins, A Jacksonville birding tour with local bird specialist Julie Cocke just to name a few of the wonderful items.
